New Year's Resolution: Take out the Arch Nemesis!

Despite the constant reminders of New Year's Resolutions that all my family and friends are desperately trying to keep, I decided that stress is my number one arch nemesis; and therefore, must be dealt with immediately! Who wouldn't be stressed in today's chaotic society?! The economy is in the toilet and seems to like it there, there's always an increase in the terror alert level, and 2009 did nothing but take away icons and mentors from us! Who wouldn't be afraid of the world today when you can't get a job unless you finish/go back to school (which no one can afford anymore because of tuition increases) and even then, there's no guarantee! Fabulous!

But reminding myself of this just creates deeper knots for my masseuse to work out (wish I could still afford such services) so I digress... As an almost professional student I should be best friends with stress by now, but when stress has you by the textbooks you tend to get a bit overworked, overtired, bitchy, and generally unable to enjoy the little things in life! This blog is dedicated to pretty much anything I feel like getting off my chest at the moment, whether that be a crazy day story, funny things that are often overlooked, or just topics I hope will help me de-stress and live every moment of life as "My precious"! And that's not a "Lord of the Rings" reference per say, it just fits!

We shouldn't waste our precious time and energy! We should enjoy every minute, every experience, every lesson, every photograph, every laugh, and every tear. That is my resolution, though I cringe at calling it that because I never keep them; yet this one I really NEED to keep! So kick back and enjoy the ride. And in the event that you don't, by all means... Don't Waste Your Precious!

  1. You have done a great job designing your blg. I love the colors and the patterned images on the sides - they frame the text well. See if you can make the title of your blog a bit more pronounced. Play around to see if a darker color works best. Post wise, consider some paragraph breaks - they allow readers to linger over ideas rather than wading through a dense passage of text. Good job staying focused on the idea of stress; you create an engaging conversational voice in your post.
